“In Egyptian and Buddhist tradition it is said that the lotus flower can help to speed up our personal spiritual evolutionary process. It is also thought of as being an amazing healing flower which can aid us on many levels. Many believe it to be a symbol of rebirth, openness, beauty and perfection.
It is a flower that opens when the sun shines, indicating that if this card comes to you today you might need to bring more ‘sunshine’ into your life. Perhaps you also need assistance in overcoming addictions or compulsive behaviour that stem from past insecurities.
At the perfect moment the flower opens. There is no thought, no anxiety, no effort. All things in nature behave in this way. You are at one with nature, so meditate on this question – ‘where do your thoughts, anxieties and effort come from?’”

Colours: Magenta, lilac & white
These colours can be helpful to work with after a period of depression and are both soothing and energising. Magenta can allow us to let go of the old with ease and help us experience Divine Love and heightened creative awareness.
ShadowLight Card:

Your Light is Momentum
Perhaps you have put a full stop where there should only be a comma! Maybe consider looking at your physical self to re address the balance and get things moving again on all levels. Get fit, walk, dance, play… There also needs to be a harmony between physical activity and ‘time out’ though – so meditate at least once or twice a week and allow yourself to become a clear channel again as your spiritual/higher self seems to have become blocked. Open up and allow things to flow.
Power Animal/s: Boar & Elk
Boar & Elk are both wild and powerful animals. They may have appeared to offer you the opportunity to find the power & strength within yourself. Both can also be quite vocal, perhaps an indication for you to sing or communicate more frequently. Find your voice again; do not be afraid to share your truth – this maybe through spoken, written word or song. Don’t be afraid to ask questions to which you want to know the answer.
Elk represents stamina, amongst other things, and so will assist you if you are in for the long haul on a certain project. It might be helpful to consider a vegetarian diet to help build your own strength and stamina. These two animals can also represent leadership & direction.
You can also find an image which appeals to you of the animal/s and ask your Higher Self what it represents to you. What do you already know about the animal? How does it make you feel? What does it represent to you? What colour is it and how might that affect your life? What does it eat? Is it predator or prey? Does it hibernate? How many young does it have? Where does it live? Does it make a home? Does it have one or several mates? Asking all these kinds of things can give much insight as to what medicine this animal has for you at this time.
Crystal: Rhodonite
A deep pink coloured crystal, often with flecks or streaks of black running through. Pink generally relates to affairs of the heart, so maybe consider if your heart centre is too closed or too open. Black generally relates to power and stability, but in the case of rhodonite I usually take into consideration the amount of black running through and use this as a guide to the kind of ‘upsets’ in the emotional. In this instance it has a line running almost all the way through its centre, indicating possibly that you are often not centred within yourself, and sometimes feel as if there are two sides to you.
There could also have been a major event which has upset or ‘hardened’ your heart. Rhodonite can often represent both the physical and emotional aspects of the self and so it can be helpful to stabilize your energy and emotions if carried or worked with.
